Jeff Puckett Constructions receives many frequently asked questions about our services or the home building process in general. What are the main considerations you should think about before building a home?

There are many details involved in the planning process, but the main things you should think about are cost, size, and timing. You should consider how much it truly costs to build a home compared to buying one, what size you truly need, and how much time you have to build your home.

What are some examples of jobs you should consider whether you want to hire a professional or do the work yourself?

Three examples of projects you can complete yourself include painting interior walls, replacing broken tiles, and power washing the exterior. You should call a professional for removing trees, repairing the roof, and installing siding. Of course, you can call professional for any of the first three jobs if you decide you don’t want to do the work yourself.

How can we find the right lot?

If you haven’t already purchased a lot, we will help you find a lot at the right price. We will walk through the lot with you and discuss the location, type of soil, drainage issues, and more. We will be able to help you find a lot that is sound and meet your requirements. We can purchase the lot for you, and this will be added to the cost of the home when you close.

How can we make time to build a home when our lives are already so busy?

Jeff Puckett Constructions will strive to minimize your time expenditure with our streamlined process that won’t change much about your daily schedule.

How can we determine the best floor plan?

We have premade plans to choose from, or we can make as many changes as needed to fit your personal needs. We have an excellent drafting service ready to work with you.

Can we select our building materials and appliances?

Of course. You can customize your home to fit your tastes and we will work with you throughout the process to answer your questions.

Do the homes you build come with a warranty?

All of our homes are warranted for a full year with a ten year structural warranty.
